Outpatient Therapist

Job Summary

Candeo is a mental health and disability services provider in the Des Moines metro supporting individuals with Intellectual Disability, Brain Injury, and Chronic Mental Illness in being an integrated part of our community. We are excited to expand our service offerings to include Clinical Mental Health services. Candeo is seeking a full or part time licensed clinician. Preference will be given to those with experience in supporting individuals with chronic mental illness and/or an active CADC or IADC.  All candidates must be comfortable assisting all Direct Support Professionals in building their direct support skills and use of evidence based practices. 

Responsibilities and Duties

Job responsibilities include provision of individual, family, and/or group therapy as well as provision of clinical support to other Candeo programs.

Qualifications and Skills

Active Iowa license as an LMSW, LISW, Ph.D., T-LMHC, LMHC, T-LMFT, or LMFT required or able to acquire soon. 


Competitive pay package with 10 days paid time off, a CEU and association dues allotment, and insurance (including health, dental, vision, and short and long-term disability).  Supervision towards advanced licensure can be made available for those who need this, including soon being able to provide supervised practice towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).
